When staying at the Tiger Camp Resort in Corbett, there isno extra charge for nature walks and short treks along the river Kosi or Ramganga. A guide accompanies the tourists on the walks.
The Mahseer is considered one of the best sportfish in the world; and the famed Golden or Himalayan Mahseer remains a mighty challenger for the fishing enthusiasts. The creature is found in the Ramganga, Saryu and Mahakali rivers. Goonch, another favourite fresh-water scavenger for anglers, is also found in these waters.
While we provide transportation, camp equipment, packed meals and fishing ghillies (a fishing guide or assistant); the anglers are required to bring their own fishing gear.
There are a number of short and long excursions offered at the Tiger Camp Resort in Corbett. Visitors can go on to Bhuwankhal sunrise point and see the sun as it ascends over the snow-clad Himalayas or on a day’s visit to Nainital, a popular hill station in Uttarakhand. The Jungle Lore Birding Lodge in Pangot is the perfect destination for avid birdwatchers. An excursion and overnight stay to the Hiamalayan Retreat at Pangot can be organized on request.
Jeep safaris through the Kumaon region; Sat Tal, Ranikhet, Munsyari, Abbott Mount and Nainital, are also available at the Tiger Camp Resort in Corbett.
An adventurous two day jeep ride through Corbett!
Day 01
Jeep safari, to Dhikala, Sarpduli or Gairal forest lodges, by a winding jungle track along the Ramganga River.The ride gives a great opportunity for viewing wildlife, especially the tiger in its natural habitat. At dawn the tourists arrive at the forest lodge for a relaxing overnight stay amidst the lingering calm of the woods. To top off the exciting day, delicious dinner is served at the lodge.
Day 02
Early next morning an elephant safari takes the guests through grasslands & forests of Corbett; a majestic experience in itself. Thereafter they return to the lodge for breakfast. The guests can then regale themselves with birdwatching from the watchtower overlooking a waterhole.
*The schedule for the return trip after lunch at the lodge includes a nature watch stopover.
