Jim Corbett National Park is home to more than 580 species of birds; the ibisbill, wall-creeper, spot-bellied owl, the great hornbill, pallas’ fish eagle, crested kingfisher, brown dipper and three kinds of the forktail are some of the most sought after avian creatures by birdwatchers.

Some of the best bird spotting areas within the Park include Jhirna, Dhikala, Kumeria, Mongoli Valley and the banks of Kosi.

*A week-long jeep safari can also be arranged that would encompass a substantial area of the park including parts of Sonanadi Sanctuary.
*Please note, the elephant ride cannot be booked in advance and tourists looking to take the safari should reach the elephant station early in the mornings or afternoons. A mahout guides the elephant through the Park.
*The bird safari can be taken both on foot and by a jeep. Additionally tourists can also visit our Birding Lodge near Nainital for a more comprehensive experience.
